KORDA's Heli Safe Tubing Kit allows you to get around Leadcore and Leaders bans by allowing you to fish a helicopter style rig using rig tubing. This conversion kit allows the Heli-Safe system to be used with hoses while retaining all the usual features of a traditional helicopter setup and giving you the option to drop the lead if needed. As you know, helicopter rigs have great anti-tangle properties, you can cast them far and they allow the top bead (recently updated to one on this kit) to be set to determine how the hooklink gets caught. on the bottom. For those of you who don't use heli-type rigs... you can basically adjust the bead to account for where your rig lands. If it's on a hard bottom the distance can be short, low lying weed can increase the distance and for something like deep silt it can be pushed all the way up allowing the lead to go into the silt but the rig can be on top sit still. The solution to the problem may look very simple, but a lot of thought and testing went into getting the Heli-Safe Tubing Kit just right so that it performs as intended in terms of still dropping the lead. INCLUDED THIS WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO TAKE IT OUT. We first released this product in 2018, but after it came to our attention that some of the Tungsten Beads - designed to fit snugly on the rig tube - had encountered an issue during the manufacturing process. They were too tight when used on Dark Matter Rig Tube causing a potential safety issue with the installation. We have taken the product off the shelves as a precaution as it has always been our priority to ensure that carp remain safe with anglers when using our products. We have since replaced the tungsten bead with a silicone sleeve in conjunction with our brilliant No Trace Bead. Known as a 'witch's hat', this little plug is located inside the Heli-Safe, part of the very clever design and holds the hose in place. In combination with a modified Heli-Safe 'cap', fitted with a hard plastic 'tail', this ensures that the hose cannot come loose and that the system works as originally intended. The 'witch hat' is the smartest part of this product as it holds the tubing securely in place... it can be used with our Dark Matter tungsten or plastic Kamo rig tubing. The Heli-Safe Tubing Kit is sold in packages that contain everything you need for two complete setups (excluding the tubing). They are also available in brown or green to match the lake bottom.
