Thanks to the much smaller knot, the line experiences much less resistance during the cast, allowing greater distances to be achieved. The much smoother transition from nylon to braided line also significantly reduces the chance of the line catching an eye. The 0.25mm end is 5m long, so that it sits on the reel spool when the cast is turned on vigorously. The combination of a thinner lead and thinner braided line reduces line pressure, which also results in better bite registration!
