By using a lightweight Zaion body in conjunction with the MQ concept, the DAIWA engineers have succeeded in developing an extremely lightweight yet deformation resistant reel that, thanks to the MQ frame, provides tremendous retrieval power and durability. The MQ design allows the implementation of an oversized drive, which is literally made for permanent and uncompromising lure fishing with braided lines and soft lures. Of these, sizes 1000/2000 contain 3 "CRBB" ball bearings, sizes 2500/3000 contain 4 "CRBB" ball bearings, while size 4000 contains 5 "CRBB" ball bearings.
